About the Role

Samaya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Abha, 'Asir, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience. The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and managing all electrical works for a significant cultural project, from design review through to installation, testing, and commissioning.

Role Purpose and Scope

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the successful execution of all electrical aspects of the project. This includes managing power distribution, lighting systems (including architectural and museum lighting), low current systems, fire alarm systems, and integration with Building Management Systems (BMS). The engineer will ensure strict compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), international standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals, ensuring compliance with SBC, NFPA, IEC, and international museum standards.
• Prepare and review load schedules, Single Line Diagrams, and As-Built drawings.
• Provide technical support to resolve site issues and coordinate effectively with consultants and contractors.
• Supervise the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, earthing, indoor and outdoor lighting, architectural and museum lighting.
• Oversee the selection, installation, testing, and commissioning of generators, transformers, and associated protection systems.
• Monitor cable routing (cable trays, conduits), electrical rooms, and manholes, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality, and safety requirements.
• Conduct inspections and issue snag lists for corrective actions.
• Oversee the installation and integration of low current systems such as Fire Alarm Systems (Addressable), Public Address / Audio Systems, Lighting Control Panels (LCP), CCTV and Security Systems, Master Clock System, and their integration with BMS.
• Supervise the testing and commissioning of all electrical and ELV systems.
• Ensure the delivery of As-Built drawings, O&M manuals, and necessary training sessions.
• Support project close-out and handover processes to client representatives.

Required Experience and Attributes

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within cultural or large-scale construction projects.
• Demonstrated attention to detail with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under pressure.

• Effective teamwork and stakeholder management skills.

Work Environment

This full-time role is based in Abha, 'Asir, Saudi Arabia, and involves working on-site to oversee project execution and ensure adherence to all technical and regulatory requirements.
