Technical Specialist

About the Role

HCLTech is seeking a Technical Specialist for a full-time position in Al Baha. This role encompasses both technical and functional responsibilities, with a primary focus on infrastructure, application modernization, and effective stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of relevant experience.

Technical Responsibilities

• Design, provision, configure, migrate, and tune platform components using Infrastructure and Application CI/CD within the defined scope.
• Implement domain-specific processes, rules, standards, and validations for the required scope, with support for Arabic speaking.
• Apply Application Modernization as an essential skill.
• Adhere to sound software engineering, configuration, and quality practices aligned with organizational standards.
• Ensure secure coding, data handling, and access-control practices relevant to the platforms used.
• Collaborate with architects and peer engineers to validate design choices and technical trade-offs.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills across various tools and platforms.
• Maintain current proficiency, certifications, or hands-on practice on the primary tools listed for this role.
• Follow approved designs and engineering standards when using tools for assigned tasks.

Functional Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate application, integration, API, and business-process modernization requirements.
• Translate stakeholder needs into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceable deliverables.
• Facilitate requirement reviews, solution walkthroughs, demonstrations, UAT coordination, and business sign-off.
• Maintain functional specifications, process flows, decisions, risks, dependencies, and status reporting.
• Support stakeholder discussions, clarify assigned requirements, and escalate risks proactively.
• Support release readiness, user enablement, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live stabilization.

Required Skills and Experience

• 4-7 years of experience in a relevant technical specialist role.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure and Application CI/CD.
• Demonstrated skill in Application Modernization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging clients, business users, and cross-functional teams.
• Working knowledge of AppMod domain standards, compliance expectations, and relevant business processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Arabic is required.
