About the Role

Advanced Petrochemical Company is seeking a Lawyer to join its team in Al Jubail. This full-time position requires a professional to provide comprehensive legal advisory and support services, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks, and facilitating business operations through robust contract management, legal documentation, and corporate governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts and agreements.
• Providing legal advice on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable Saudi laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Supporting the management of disputes, claims, and litigation in coordination with external legal counsel.
• Conducting legal research and preparing legal opinions, memoranda, and recommendations.
• Supporting corporate governance activities, including board and committee matters.
• Maintaining contract templates, legal registers, and legal documentation systems.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders, including Procurement, HR, Finance, and Operations, on legal matters.
• Participating in legal risk assessments and mitigation initiatives across the organization.
• Supporting the development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) is required.
• A Master's Degree in Law (LLM) is preferred.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required. Experience within the Petrochemical/Oil & Gas Industry or a reputable law firm is highly valued.

• Contract Management: Strong capabilities in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Legal Knowledge: A solid understanding of Saudi laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
• Problem Solving: The capacity to handle complex legal matters and deliver sound recommendations.
• Attention to Detail: A high degree of accuracy in legal documentation and contract review.
• Commercial Awareness: An understanding of business operations and the commercial implications of legal decisions.
• Stakeholder Management: The ability to build effective working relationships across all organizational levels.
• Time Management: Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and working effectively under pressure.
• Risk Management: A strong awareness of legal and compliance risks and effective mitigation strategies.
