About the Role

Air Products Qudra is seeking a Lead Planner Turnaround to join their team in Al Jubail. This full-time position is responsible for the comprehensive planning, coordination, and preparation of all maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification activities for various assets within BHIG, including SATORP, SASREF, and Jubail Industrial Gases Hub (JIGH). The role reports directly to the Project Controls Manager within the Operation Project Management Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Turnaround plans to maintain equipment integrity and plant reliability at the lowest sustainable cost, aligning with the facility’s asset management plan.
• Coordinate the development, execution, and management of SATORP / SASREF / JIGH Turnarounds with budgets ranging from $5M to $50M.
• Coordinate the development, planning, and execution of diverse brownfield projects ranging from $25K-$5M plant improvements.
• Work with cross-functional teams through all Turnaround and Project phases, including scope development, technical bid evaluation, execution, and final handover.
• Support the Project Controls Manager in developing and implementing strategic Turnaround/Project execution plans.
• Utilize advanced project management tools to monitor progress, manage budgets, and adhere to schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and the company's zero-injury objective.
• Negotiate contracts and resolve disputes throughout project lifecycles.
• Conduct thorough project evaluations and "lessons learned" sessions.

Turnaround Planning and Execution

• Oversee, implement, and maintain enterprise management tools such as Primavera P3, P6, and MS Project.
• Review manpower and equipment histograms and provide guidance in line with scope definition.
• Identify critical paths and define actions to control them during planning and execution.
• Coordinate material identification, procurement, and on-time availability.
• Develop detailed work scopes and job plans, including work packages, procedures, manpower, execution strategies, drawings, P&IDs, safety requirements, MTOs, and quality/inspection requirements.
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) as required and conduct site surveys for job validation.
• Support the development of turnaround schedules and resource-loaded plans.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Inspection, and Contractors.
• Estimate labor, equipment, tools, and material requirements, ensuring procurement and availability.
• Assist in developing turnaround budgets and cost estimates, monitoring planning-related costs.
• Participate in post-turnaround reviews, capture lessons learned, and support close-out documentation.

Safety, Quality, and Compliance

• Ensure all activities comply with company HSE standards and statutory regulations.
• Lead, participate, and support all BHIG safety programs, safe work practices, and environmental compliance.
• Review safety plans for all outage work and ensure execution.
• Incorporate risk assessments and mitigation plans into work packages.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIMOPS, and safety reviews.
• Prepare KPIs for quality compliance for all turnarounds.
• Review Quality plans with other discipline leads and ensure approval of required formats / ITP / QP.
• Support the QA/QC organization in implementing the QA/QC plan for turnarounds and projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and project management tools (*, Primavera, Microsoft Project).
• Strong ethical standards with an unwavering commitment to worker safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to influence effective planning, safe execution, and on-time delivery.
• Basic understanding of process technologies employed in Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases (BHIG) facilities.
• Capable of high-level communication with customers and internal/external stakeholders.
• Experience working in an international or multi-national organization is preferred.
• Exposure to matrix reporting is preferred.
• Demonstrated business and customer service focus with a passion for quality.

Work Environment and Collaboration

This role involves a proactive, hands-on approach to project execution, overseeing all phases from scope development to commissioning. The Lead Planner Turnaround will ensure safe and successful project execution in the field, utilizing project metrics to monitor progress and holding EPC contractors accountable for budget and schedule. Effective communication of project strategies and status to all stakeholders, including upper management, is essential. Collaboration with various departments such as operations, finance, supply chain, and safety is required to ensure integrated project delivery and compliance. The role also involves coordinating with Blue Hydrogen Industrial Gases (BHIG) internal technical resources on complex issues and overseeing comprehensive project documentation.
