Role Overview

Assystem Radicon is seeking a Sr. Leading Architect to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role involves leading architectural teams and overseeing design development for various projects, ensuring compliance with Saudi regulatory requirements and international standards. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architectural teams, allocate activities, and provide technical direction and mentorship.
• Oversee the development of architectural designs for buildings, infrastructure, and master planning projects, from concept to detailed design.
• Ensure appropriate development and technical review of architectural documentation, including plans, elevations, sections, and schedules.
• Lead the preparation and review of design deliverables such as Design Basis Reports, concept packages, detailed design packages, and tender documentation.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with the Saudi Building Code, Saudi Civil Defense requirements, municipality regulations, and applicable international standards (IBC, NFPA, ICC, ISO, BS/BS EN, ASTM).
• Lead technical coordination with Saudi authorities and municipalities, manage submissions, and respond to technical comments.
• Coordinate architectural requirements with multidisciplinary engineering teams (Structural, Civil, MEP, Landscape, Interior Design, BIM, etc.).
• Lead the implementation of BIM requirements, coordinate with BIM Managers, and participate in clash-detection reviews.
• Perform technical reviews, conduct interdisciplinary design reviews, and ensure compliance with project requirements and quality management systems.
• Represent the architectural discipline in client and stakeholder meetings, present design concepts, and manage design presentations.
• Provide tender and construction support, including reviewing technical submissions, responding to RFIs, and supporting site issue resolution.
• Identify opportunities for value engineering, promote sustainable and energy-efficient design solutions, and support low-carbon objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a recognized university.
• Experience: 12–15 years of relevant architectural design experience, with strong experience in building and infrastructure architectural design.
• Demonstrable experience leading architectural teams.
• Significant experience with multidisciplinary engineering consultancy or design organizations.
• Strong experience across concept, schematic, detailed design, tender documentation, and construction support.
• Experience with large-scale and complex projects, with a strong preference for experience with Saudi Arabian projects.
• Professional Registration: Valid or eligible professional registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers. Professional Architect, Chartered Architect, or equivalent international professional registration is advantageous.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Software: Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Microsoft Visio, BIM collaboration platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• Competencies: Team leadership, technical problem-solving, design coordination, technical checking and review, client-facing communication, service-provider coordination, authority coordination, planning and organization, quality awareness, and risk awareness.
• Ability to manage several design packages simultaneously and work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
