About the Maintenance Manager Role

SAMI Airbus is seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team in Al Kharj, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for overseeing all maintenance staff within our MRO facility, ensuring stringent regulatory compliance, optimal operational safety, efficient manpower utilization, and the timely delivery of aircraft.

Role Purpose and Strategic Impact

The Maintenance Manager integrates comprehensive technical oversight, strong workforce leadership, meticulous planning coordination, and robust quality assurance. This role serves as a primary customer interface, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of airworthiness and operational reliability across all maintenance activities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily base maintenance operations and activities.
  • Arrange and balance the maintenance roster in alignment with production forecasts and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with Team Leaders to dimension workload effectively across aircraft zones based on capacity.
  • Ensure all work is performed strictly in accordance with Part-145 regulations, OEM instructions, and the Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE).
  • Manage troubleshooting processes, defect rectification, and critical path control during aircraft checks.
  • Coordinate effectively with the Flight Line team for seamless aircraft handover and handback procedures.
  • Identify and justify overtime (OVT) needs to the Base Maintenance Director.

Workforce Leadership and Development

  • Lead a diverse team of technicians at various career levels, including certifying staff, mechanics, and helpers.
  • Plan manpower allocation, shift scheduling, and workload balancing to optimize team efficiency.
  • Drive competency development initiatives, supporting On-the-Job Training (OJTs) and facilitating career promotions.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring strict adherence to Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, tool control, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards.

Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance

  • Ensure strict compliance with EASA/GACA regulations and internal quality standards.
  • Support internal Quality audits and implement robust corrective actions to close findings effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or a related field. This role requires proven leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of MRO operations, and a strong commitment to regulatory compliance and safety standards. The ability to manage complex technical issues, lead diverse teams, and coordinate effectively with various stakeholders is essential.
