About the Material Analyst Early Career Training Program

GE Vernova is offering a Material Analyst Early Career Training program in Dammam, Eastern region. This internship is designed for individuals with 0-1 year of experience who are looking to develop skills in materials planning, forecasting, and inventory management within a manufacturing environment. The role involves supporting daily operations to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.

Role Overview

As a Materials Intern, you will contribute to the efficient flow of materials by supporting various aspects of the supply chain. This includes maintaining material data, monitoring inventory, and assisting with logistics processes. The position offers an opportunity to learn and apply ERP tools and problem-solving techniques for materials availability.

Key Responsibilities

Update materials Bill of Materials (BOM), Safety Stock, and Reorder Levels in the ERP system on a quarterly basis.
Monitor and follow up on materials availability in coordination with the Sourcing team.
Assist in the materials shipping payment process and resolve any related issues.
Serve as the owner for ERP material master data integrity.
Coordinate with warehouse and planning teams to resolve issues related to receiving, quantity, or documentation.
Update and maintain inventory dashboards using Excel or Smartsheet.
Support the preparation of materials-related documentation, reports, and compliance records.
Assist the warehouse team with visual management, labeling, and layout optimization.
Learn and utilize ERP tools, such as SAP, for tasks including purchase requisitions, goods receipts, and inventory movements.
Engage in problem-solving for materials availability issues through planning improvement initiatives.
