About the Role

Al Tuwairqi Group is seeking a Technician, Mechanical to join their team in Dammam. This full-time position involves executing tasks based on instructions from a superior, applying acquired mechanical skills, and prioritizing safety in all operations. The role requires active participation in maintenance activities and adherence to organizational safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

Execute job instructions provided by the Foreman or Supervisor.
Apply mechanical skills effectively in all assigned tasks.
Prioritize personal safety and the safety of others at all times.
Assist with shift and general shift maintenance activities as a team member.
Perform planned jobs within the plant as required.
Carry out tasks such as gearbox, pumps, cylinders, and valves overhauling/testing, and roller assembly/testing, reporting any issues to the superior.
Perform welding jobs.
Understand basic mechanical drawings.
Adhere to organizational Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) policies and safety instructions related to specific jobs.
Report damaged Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), unsafe machines, or equipment to the relevant staff.
Maintain provided PPEs in good, workable condition.
Avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment, and welfare facilities.
Report any accidents, near misses, or hazardous conditions to the responsible personnel.
Attend scheduled safety trainings.
Exercise the right to refuse any unsafe work.

Qualifications and Experience

For expatriate candidates: 10 years of schooling plus a 2-year Industrial Technical Institute Course in mechanical-related disciplines (*, Mechanical Fitter, Rigger, Fabricator, Pipe Fitter, Welder, Hydraulic Fitter, Electro Mechanical Technician, Turner, Machinist).
Ability to communicate in English.
5 to 7 years of industrial experience in a steel melt shop.
