The Architectural Draftsman Role

SAUDICO is seeking an Architectural Draftsman to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the accurate preparation and updating of architectural drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings. The successful candidate will ensure all documentation aligns with approved designs, project specifications, and applicable standards, while also facilitating proper coordination among various engineering disciplines.

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections, and detailed drawings.
• Develop shop drawings based on approved design drawings and specific project requirements.
• Revise and update drawings in response to comments received from consultants, clients, and responsible engineers.
• Coordinate architectural drawings effectively with structural, electrical, and mechanical drawings.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings to accurately reflect the actual work completed at the site.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, relevant building codes, and approved industry standards.
• Maintain comprehensive drawing records and meticulously track all revisions and issued versions.
• Provide technical support to the site team, supplying necessary details and clarifications as required.
• Comply with the project’s approved health, safety, and quality procedures and standards.

Drawing Management and Project Compliance

The Architectural Draftsman is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all architectural documentation throughout the project lifecycle. This includes rigorous adherence to project specifications and building codes, proactive coordination with other engineering disciplines, and diligent record-keeping of all drawing versions and revisions. The role also involves providing essential technical support to on-site teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, contributing to SAUDICO's ongoing construction projects.
