About the Role

People, Jobs, and News is seeking an Area Sales Manager Bakery to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on managing and expanding sales operations within the bakery sector across the region.

Position Summary

The Area Sales Manager Bakery will be responsible for overseeing retail sales activities, managing client relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency within the designated area. This role involves strategic planning, performance monitoring, and direct engagement with sales teams and key clients to achieve sales objectives and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sales forecasting activities and establish performance goals.
• Meet with key clients, support sales teams in relationship management, and facilitate deal negotiation and closure.
• Prepare periodic sales reports detailing sales volumes, potential sales, and proposed client base expansion areas.
• Analyze and control retail sales expenditures within the region to align with budget requirements.
• Work to reduce customer complaints and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate communication between retail sales and various organizational departments regarding estimated delivery dates.
• Oversee the preparation of sales contracts and proposals in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage communication between sales teams and the ICT department concerning handheld device (HHT) matters, including updates, provision of new devices, and resolution of HHT database and report issues.
• Administer retail sales route activities in the region, including planning, creating new routes, and merging or closing unprofitable routes.
• Supervise regional stores and depots, analyze their performance, and conduct regular site visits.
• Monitor the cleanliness and appearance of sales vehicles in adherence to policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
• 5-6 years of experience in a related field.
• Prior experience in the bakery or FMCG sector is preferred.
• Experience within Saudi Arabia (KSA) or native experience is highly preferred.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Demonstrated knowledge of retail sales strategies.
• Professional proficiency in sales tools, techniques, and forecasting methodologies.
