About the Role

Deloitte is seeking an Assistant Manager Audit & Assurance Accounting & Reporting Advisory to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves participating in client proposals and overseeing the day-to-day operations of engagements within the Accounting and Reporting Advisory (ARA) practice. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on technical issues under IFRS and other local GAAPs, contributing to high-quality technical reports and presentations.
  • Actively contribute to the development of client proposals, including drafting scope of work and project budgets.
  • Collaborate with managers, senior managers, partners, and clients to influence strategy and manage risks and client expectations.
  • Draft revenue recognition and leasing accounting policies under IFRS and other local GAAPs for clients.
  • Lead and deliver engagements for the preparation of financial statements under IFRS and other local GAAP frameworks for clients across diversified industries.
  • Ensure the engagement team fully understands client objectives, goals, and expectations.
  • Prepare training to educate clients on the potential impact of new accounting standards on financial statements and systems.
  • Actively participate in devising project planning and strategy, working with leadership to manage projects locally and internationally.
  • Manage projects such as complex accounting advice on abnormal transactions or acquisitions, financial statements and accounting policies review, and IFRS impact assessment, depending on relevant experience.
  • Be involved in the preparation of technical accounting memos on specific IFRS topics.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Ability to conduct research on various technical accounting issues.
  • Experience in drafting client proposals and managing project budgets.
  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate with senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Proficiency in IFRS and other local GAAPs.
  • Experience in leading financial statement preparation engagements.
  • Strong understanding of project planning and strategy.
