About Qiddiya Investment Company and the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel - Regulatory and Employee Advisory to join its legal team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, within the Riyadh Province. The role focuses on providing expert legal guidance to ensure the company's operations align with applicable laws and best practices in human resources and regulatory compliance.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Associate General Counsel will play a critical role in supporting the company's dynamic legal team by specializing in regulatory compliance and employment law. This involves advising on complex legal frameworks and ensuring that all company activities related to human resources and broader operations adhere to both local and international legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal advice on labor laws, employment regulations, and regulatory requirements impacting company operations.
  • Draft, review, and advise on employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant labor laws.
  • Support management in resolving complex employee relations issues, disputes, and disciplinary matters.
  • Monitor legal developments in labor and employment law and assess their potential impact on the company.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and other departments to manage legal risks effectively across employee lifecycle processes.
  • Represent the company in regulatory matters related to employment and liaise with governmental authorities as required.
  • Conduct training and workshops for management and employees to enhance awareness of regulatory compliance and employment best practices.
  • Mentor junior legal staff and foster a culture of legal excellence within the team.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Possession of a legal qualification with admission to practice law.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience specializing in regulatory and employment law.
  • Preferably, experience gained within a corporate or in-house legal environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and regulatory compliance in relevant jurisdictions.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Proven ability to manage complex employee relations and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills in employment and regulatory matters.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring and guiding junior legal team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
