About the Associate Vendor Manager Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia (ex-Souq), a leader in e-commerce, is expanding its Retail business and is seeking an Associate Vendor Manager. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and focuses on enabling new collaborations with vendors. The primary objective is to integrate vendor product portfolios into the ****** stores, contributing to the growth of Amazon's retail presence in Saudi Arabia.

Strategic Impact and Scope

This role is part of the Retail Vendor Recruitment (RVR) organization. The Associate Vendor Manager will be responsible for negotiating, recruiting, and onboarding new vendors, with the goal of making their selection available on the Amazon website. Operating in a fast-moving and often ambiguous environment, the role holds full responsibility for achieving business objectives, driving growth, and shaping the future of Amazon Retail in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and reach out to new vendors, analyzing their potential for Amazon. This includes leading initial engagements through cold-calling, attending commercial events, and explaining the benefits of partnering with Amazon.
• Act as a business consultant to new vendors, providing insights and advice, and effectively engaging with diverse business profiles and sectors.
• Assist new vendors in integrating their catalogue data into the Amazon store, mastering Amazon’s internal tools, and providing necessary training on tool usage.
• Serve as an ambassador for Amazon to vendors, developing deep knowledge of their needs and success drivers.
• Plan, conduct, deliver, and report analyses to understand the performance of recruited vendors.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of recruiting and onboarding processes, assisting in the removal of technical blockers and identifying areas for technical enhancement.

Vendor Recruitment and Partnership Development

A core objective of this position is to build the best possible selection for customers through the development of partnerships with new vendors. The role involves a comprehensive process of prospecting, assessing, negotiating, recruiting, and integrating vendors for Amazon marketplaces. Close coordination with retail teams is essential to drive new vendors through all onboarding phases, up to their first units shipped.
