The Role: Chief of Compliance & MLRO

Soar is seeking a Chief of Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to lead its compliance function in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a Saudi national with over 10 years of experience in the Saudi banking sector or with companies licensed by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA). The role involves extensive knowledge of regulatory frameworks, risk management, and anti-money laundering (AML) practices specific to Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the company's compliance program in alignment with SAMA regulations and other relevant authorities.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with SAMA and other regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Oversee and manage all Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Lead internal audits and compliance reviews to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all departments adhere to compliance requirements, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Prepare and submit regular compliance and AML reports to senior management and regulators.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise on necessary adjustments to internal policies and procedures.
  • Handle suspicious activity reports (SARs), ensuring proper documentation and escalation.
  • Foster a strong compliance culture across the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Saudi national.
  • Over 10 years of experience in compliance, specifically within the Saudi banking sector or a SAMA-licensed financial institution.
  • Deep knowledge of Saudi regulatory frameworks, risk management, and AML practices.
  • Currently working in a Saudi bank or a SAMA-licensed financial institution.
  • Hands-on experience with compliance systems and tools used for AML monitoring and reporting.

This position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh.
