Role Overview

People Group Arabia is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join a major programme in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves taking commercial responsibility for a significant package of works within a large-scale project environment. The successful candidate will manage major, complex construction packages, demonstrating strong pre and post-contract experience, ideally developed within a main contractor setting. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a substantial and complex package of works.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of a significant package of works.
• Oversee both pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities.
• Administer contracts and manage commercial processes for major construction packages.
• Handle procurement, tendering, cost management, variations, and change control.
• Manage claims, risks, and contractual matters effectively.
• Collaborate with major contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated strong pre and post-contract commercial experience.
• Background within a main contractor environment is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage a major package or workstream on large-scale programmes.
• Experience with major projects in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East is considered beneficial.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Strong contract administration and commercial management capability.
• Competence in procurement, tendering, cost management, variations, and change control.
• Solid understanding of claims, risk management, and contractual issues.
• Capability to effectively work with major contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.

Educational Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
