CONSULTANT ANESTHESIOLOGY

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Consultant, Anesthesiology. This full-time position involves the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions, alongside providing comprehensive medical care within the field of Anesthesiology. The role operates in strict adherence to current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and the Hospital’s established policies and procedures.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across all aspects of Anesthesiology, consistent with approved clinical privileges.
• Deliver inpatient and emergency room consultations upon request, ensuring timely responses as outlined by Hospital policy.
• Ensure timely completion, accuracy, and legibility of medical records.
• Provide on-call service, maintaining availability and response times in accordance with Hospital policy.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for transfer or discharge, ensuring orders are written 24 hours prior.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities related to the specialty as assigned.

Academic and Research Contributions

• Offer orientation, bedside training, and supervision to junior staff as required.
• Participate in departmental educational activities, training programs, and national and international medical conferences.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge through continuing education.
• Engage in clinical, basic, and translational research projects in line with Research Advisory Council Policy to advance knowledge and improve postgraduate education.

Administrative Duties

• Undertake administrative duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman.
• Participate in mandatory departmental activities and serve on Departmental and Hospital committees as required.
• Assist in developing and implementing techniques to maximize resource utilization within the department and across the Hospital.
• Adhere to current Hospital and medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and policies, staying updated on any changes.
• Follow all Hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Participate in self-education, training, and development, as well as that of others.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this Consultant position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in Anesthesiology. Specific qualifications will align with the requirements for a Consultant role within a specialized medical institution.
