AWS EMEA SARL (Saudi Arabia Branch) - H11 is offering a Data Center Technician - 2027 Internship in Riyadh. This full-time internship, lasting three consecutive months, is designed as a potential pathway to full-time employment. Interns demonstrating strong performance may be considered for a full-time Data Center Technician position, subject to available roles and business needs.

Role Overview

As a Data Center Technician Intern, you will be part of the Operations team, responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of data center infrastructure. The role involves hardware and network diagnostics, followed by physical repair. You will engage in both independent work and team-based collaboration, requiring prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing infrastructure-related support to internal teams, resolving tickets related to hardware (*, motherboards, RAM, CPUs, GPUs) and networking (*, link-down events, optics replacements, switch replacements).
• Learning equipment installation, documentation creation, solution innovation, and complex problem-solving within the data center environment.
• Troubleshooting server hardware alongside experienced AWS technicians.
• Meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for assigned trouble tickets.
• Shadowing AWS technicians during network troubleshooting to develop diagnostic skills.
• Replacing media (SSDs and HDDs) in accordance with AWS Data Tech guidance.
• Performing regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards, and other components) under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Interacting with third-party vendors and contractors on site.

Internship Structure and Work Environment

This internship is full-time (40 hours per week) for three consecutive months, starting in summer 2027. The position requires daily on-site presence, typically Sunday through Thursday day schedules. A full-time Data Center Technician position may involve day, evening, or weekend shifts and on-call rotations. Candidates should be willing to commit to shift work upon transitioning to a full-time role. The role is based at a data center facility in a remote location without public transportation access. A valid driving license and personal transportation are required for daily commute.

About the Team

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers, collaborating across AWS to maintain high standards for safety and security while providing scalable capacity.
