Director Design Project Management (Urban Core) (REQ )

About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Director Design Project Management (Urban Core) to lead the planning, management, coordination, and delivery of design across a portfolio of mixed-use precinct developments within the Urban Core business. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, and requires a strategic leader capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Role Context and Scope

The Director will oversee the end-to-end design management process for public realm, public spaces, retail, food & beverage, commercial office, and destination-led mixed-use assets. Working on the client side, the successful candidate will act as the key interface between development, asset management, project delivery, design consultants, authorities, operators, and stakeholders. The primary objective is to ensure the design vision is successfully translated into high-quality, commercially viable, and operationally effective built environments, driving design excellence and maintaining programme commitments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide design leadership for mixed-use precinct developments.
• Manage projects and programmes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Integrate mixed-use development components across various disciplines.
• Manage stakeholders, including development teams, consultants, and authorities.
• Offer commercial and development support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure quality and compliance with design standards and regulations.
• Lead and manage design teams effectively.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in design project management.
• Proven experience in overseeing end-to-end design management for complex mixed-use developments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in integrating architectural, landscape, infrastructure, public realm, placemaking, and commercial development disciplines.
