About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an EHS Supervisor to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires an ARAMCO-approved professional with a strong background in Oil and Gas experience. The EHS Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all Environmental, Health, and Safety protocols across assigned project zones, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare all EHS-related documents, including EHS plans, emergency response plans, and risk assessments.
  • Attend EHS meetings with clients and project teams, reporting all EHS issues to the Head Office.
  • Provide EHS induction training to new workers and conduct daily EHS inspections for assigned zones.
  • Ensure appropriate safe work permits are obtained by Engineers/Supervisors from Clients/Main Contractors.
  • Conduct site-wide risk assessments, informing Site Engineers and/or Clients/Main Contractors of high-risk areas.
  • Ensure weekly toolbox talks are delivered by Engineers to promote EHS awareness among workers.
  • Verify that all personnel wear required personal protective equipment (helmet, EHS shoes, coveralls).
  • Inspect equipment such as ladders and scaffolding to ensure good working conditions before use.
  • Maintain satisfactory health and hygiene conditions for workers, including water availability, rest areas, and adequate lighting and ventilation.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping on project sites to prevent incidents and accidents.
  • Conduct Job EHS Analysis on high-risk activities to minimize hazardous conditions.
  • Encourage workers and engineers to implement EHS practices and conduct investigations for minor or major incidents/accidents.
  • Communicate investigation results to workers and engineers for future precautions.
  • Administer first-aid or seek medical assistance in case of worker injury.
  • Maintain all documentation related to EHS activities.

System Management and Compliance

  • Establish, monitor, appraise, and coordinate upgraded versions of integrated health, safety, and environment management systems (conforming to ISO-45001:2018, ISO14001:2015, and ISO 9001 standards) for construction projects.
  • Improvise procedure manuals and internal audits based on these standards.
  • Conduct training programs on EHS topics for engineers and workers on-site and in HR-organized EHS training programs.
  • Perform hazard identification and risk assessment for critical activities, ensuring method statements incorporate findings.
  • Prepare EHS Plans and Environment Management Plans.
  • Coordinate external EHS audits and third-party inspections of equipment.
  • Prepare Emergency Preparedness Plans and conduct emergency drills.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the Work Permit System.
  • Coordinate occupational health and welfare measures.
  • Prepare EHS conditions of contract for sub-contractors.

Safety Enforcement and Reporting

  • Stop work immediately if unsafe practices are witnessed, promoting a "don't walk by" attitude and commitment to action.
  • Carry out monthly project Risk Management Audits and quarterly system audits.
  • Provide EHS reports to the project head and IC Head to inform them of the current status of EHS performance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • ARAMCO-approved EHS Supervisor certification is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in the Oil and Gas sector.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience in an EHS role.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active presence on project sites to ensure continuous EHS compliance and oversight.
