Engineer I

About the Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking an Engineer I to join their team in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on maintaining the property's operational efficiency and ensuring guest satisfaction through timely and effective repair services.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests, communicating effectively to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines, and carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Manage maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and ensure thorough cleanup of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment, plumbing (*, plunging toilets, unclogging drains), and electrical components.
• Program TVs, perform general housekeeping, and manage engineering-related inventory duties.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before conducting any maintenance work.
• Execute repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external landscaping sprinklers.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, report maintenance problems or hazards, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and adhere to quality expectations.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and communicate professionally with colleagues.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds independently, and heavier objects with assistance.
• Navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders, and perform tasks requiring reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Candidates should possess basic knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge in the following areas:

• Air conditioning and refrigeration
• Electrical systems
• Mechanical systems
• Plumbing
• Pneumatic/electronic systems and controls
• Carpentry and finish skills
• Kitchen equipment
• Vehicles
• Energy conservation
• General building maintenance
• Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High school diploma or ** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting is preferred. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.

Required Certification

• A valid Driver’s License is required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring active participation in maintaining the property's facilities and responding to guest needs.
