Excellence Director

About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking an Excellence Director to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves senior-level management, strategic, and supervisory responsibilities for excellence activities within a major program. The role focuses on ensuring that products and services align with both customer and Parsons' excellence requirements, encompassing quality, continuous improvement, risk management, training, and knowledge transfer.

Strategic Leadership in Excellence

The Excellence Director provides strategic leadership in the development and implementation of Quality systems, procedures, and related excellence activities. This position requires regular interaction with executive and senior-level representatives across various business functions, including leadership, program/project management, safety, design/engineering, contracts, procurement, and construction personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the interview and selection process, including hiring recommendations, and make staffing assignments.
• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend actions such as advancement, changes in status, or disciplinary measures.
• Manage the salary administration process, including preparing annual salary plans and recommending merit increases or promotions.
• Provide Quality Systems leadership, utilizing the Parsons Quality Management System for process development, optimization, procedure development, data collection, reporting, and training.
• Direct and facilitate efforts to maintain Parsons Excellence-related certifications.
• Interface at senior and executive levels regarding performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Excellence representatives in business units to facilitate Quality and Risk training programs, achieve objectives, set future goals, and coordinate Management Review outputs.
• Direct and facilitate the continuous improvement of the program Quality Management System and the culture of Quality at Parsons.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training to both Parsons and Client personnel, monitoring performance and identifying necessary skills and capabilities.
• Act as a liaison with programs/projects, customers, contractors, and internal departments on quality-related matters and staffing.
• Guide and advance the overall performance of quality at Parsons.
• Identify and report excellence issues or trends to executive management based on diverse data sources.
• Provide input to management on organizational performance metrics and process or procedural system improvements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of relevant experience in excellence activities, including quality, continuous improvement, risk, training, and knowledge transfer.
• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership in the development and implementation of Quality systems and procedures.
• Experience interacting with executive and senior-level stakeholders.

Reporting Structure and Contacts

The Excellence Director reports to the Vice President, Quality, and Executive Management. This role involves supervision of Quality, Risk, and Training Personnel. Internal contacts include all employees on projects or within Corporate functions, while external contacts primarily involve customer personnel.
