About the Role

Artefact is seeking a Gemini Director (Agentic AI) to lead the Gemini Enterprise & Agentic AI offering. This is a client-facing, full-time hybrid role based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, encompassing solution architecture, hands-on engineering, technical pre-sales, and business development. The Director will collaborate with Artefact leadership, Google Cloud, and senior client stakeholders to identify opportunities, shape solutions, develop demos and Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and scale them into production AI programs.

Role Objectives

The primary objective for this role in its first year is to establish the incumbent as Artefact MENA's leading technical and commercial expert for Gemini Enterprise and agentic AI. This involves building a robust pipeline of opportunities, leading key client engagements, and developing reusable Gemini and agentic AI propositions for the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and shape Gemini Enterprise and agentic AI opportunities for new and existing clients.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, demonstrations, pitches, and PoCs.
• Translate business challenges into AI use cases, solution architectures, and implementation roadmaps.
• Design enterprise-grade solutions utilizing Gemini, Vertex AI, AI agents, RAG, tool use, and enterprise integrations.
• Build prototypes and production solutions using Python, APIs, SDKs, and cloud-native technologies.
• Embed evaluation, security, governance, observability, and human-approval controls within solutions.
• Support clients in adopting Gemini Enterprise and AI-assisted development across their engineering lifecycle, partnering with Google Cloud on joint accounts and solutions.
• Contribute to proposals, technical estimations, and commercial discussions.
• Transform early PoCs into enterprise-scale AI transformation programs.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in roles such as GenAI Architect, AI Solution Architect, Lead AI Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or AI Solutions Engineer. This role requires a hands-on track record in building enterprise applications with frontier Large Language Models (LLMs) and confidence in engaging with senior business and technology leaders, including CIOs, CTOs, and CDOs. A background in technical pre-sales, consulting, solution engineering, or client-led business development is essential, along with the ability to manage an opportunity from initial concept through architecture, prototyping, and production. An entrepreneurial and commercially-minded approach to developing new offerings is also required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of agentic AI, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), tool use, context engineering, evaluation, and LLMOps.
• Proficiency in Python, API integration, and cloud engineering.
• Experience deploying AI solutions on Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
• Direct experience with Gemini/Google Cloud is beneficial, though extensive experience with other frontier-model platforms is also valued.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring a hybrid approach to work that combines client engagement, technical development, and strategic business development.
