About the Role

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Government Relations Officer to join the Human Resources team at Holiday Inn Riyadh Rose Yard. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all government-related processes for hotel colleagues, ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations, and maintaining accurate records across government platforms.

Role Purpose and Context

The Government Relations Officer plays a key part in supporting smooth HR operations by ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met. This involves coordinating with various government authorities and managing employee documentation through official platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and monitor work permits, Iqama renewals, visas, and other government-related transactions.
  • Manage HR activities through government platforms such as Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, and Mudad.
  • Coordinate with government authorities to ensure timely completion of all employee documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee documents, expiry dates, and government transactions.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes by completing all required government procedures.
  • Prepare and submit official government applications, reports, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law and all applicable government regulations.
  • Coordinate with Finance and HR regarding government fees, payments, and approvals.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues on government-related procedures and documentation.
  • Perform other government relations and HR support duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in Government Relations or HR Operations, preferably within the hospitality industry.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Saudi government platforms including Qiwa, Muqeem, GOSI, and Mudad.
  • Good understanding of Saudi Labor Law and government procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
