About the Role

REEF Group is seeking an experienced Inbound Logistics Manager to oversee and manage inbound logistics operations in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on the efficient receiving of products and materials from both local and international suppliers, ensuring timely arrivals at the required cost and quality. The manager will coordinate closely with Procurement, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs clearance agents, and warehouses to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound logistics operations and monitor shipments from suppliers through to delivery at warehouses.
  • Develop shipping and receiving plans in coordination with Procurement, suppliers, and warehouses to ensure product availability.
  • Monitor purchase orders and related shipments, ensuring all logistics documents and requirements are complete.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs clearance agents to monitor shipments and resolve delays or operational issues.
  • Review shipping and import documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
  • Monitor customs clearance processes and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with warehouses to schedule receiving dates and ensure adequate space and resources.
  • Monitor received quantities against purchase orders and shipping documents, raising discrepancies as identified.
  • Analyze root causes of shipment delays, damages, and discrepancies, recommending corrective actions.
  • Monitor shipping, customs clearance, and transportation costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Develop and improve inbound logistics procedures and optimize the shipment receiving and tracking cycle.
  • Coordinate with the Quality team for shipment, sample, or product inspections before inventory receipt.
  • Monitor the performance of freight forwarders, customs clearance agents, and suppliers regarding delivery timelines and service quality.
  • Prepare periodic reports on inbound shipment status, delays, costs, risks, and compliance rates.
  • Manage risks related to inbound shipments, including delays, damages, missing documentation, and increased transportation costs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations related to import, shipping, customs clearance, and transportation.
  • Coordinate with Finance regarding shipping and customs clearance invoices and related payments.
  • Supervise the inbound logistics team, assigning responsibilities, reviewing deliverables, and supporting performance development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in inbound logistics management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex logistics operations involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs clearance processes, and supply chain best practices.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address shipment delays and operational issues.
  • Leadership skills to supervise and develop a team.
