The Role

Red Sea Global is seeking a Manager, Risk & Crisis Communications to enhance the organization's capacity to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to risks and crises across its destinations. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of experience. The successful candidate will manage risk and crisis communications planning, lead cross-functional coordination, and ensure effective stakeholder engagement during critical situations. The role also involves embedding best practices for crisis preparedness and managing high-stakes communication projects to protect and enhance RSG’s reputation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing risk assessments for Red Sea Global projects, considering geopolitical, economic, environmental, reputational, and operational risks.
• Develop and oversee crisis communications strategies, playbooks, and escalation processes.
• Organize workshops, simulations, and media training, including specialized crisis media training for executives and spokespeople.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of risk and crisis communication projects, ensuring timely execution and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Coordinate with RSG’s Risk, Legal, Operations, and Corporate Affairs teams for integrated planning and response.
• Partner with internal communications to cascade clear, consistent messaging during crises.
• Identify and map priority stakeholders and develop tailored communication strategies for engagement during crises.
• Lead post-crisis reviews to capture lessons learned and ensure continuous improvement.

Risk Assessment and Monitoring

• Identify and prioritize key risks, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide risk management priorities.
• Monitor emerging issues and external developments using tools such as Sprinklr, industry sources, and stakeholder feedback.

Crisis Planning and Preparedness

• Lead cross-departmental coordination to align crisis response procedures with brand positioning and RSG values.
• Prepare crisis communication materials, including holding statements, press releases, FAQs, and social media content.

Organizational Alignment and Continuous Improvement

• Draft internal updates, leadership briefings, FAQs, and Q&As for employees and key departments.
• Support organizational resilience by embedding a culture of preparedness across teams.
• Produce debrief reports and strategic recommendations for executive leadership.
• Benchmark against international best practices to ensure RSG remains at the forefront of risk and crisis communications.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of company and department systems, processes, and practices.
