About the Opportunity

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Manager - Collection & Recovery to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for managing collection efforts and ensuring financial stability within the assigned portfolio. The role operates within a dynamic environment focused on achieving targets and maintaining compliance.

Role Overview

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the achievement of monthly collection targets for the team while simultaneously minimizing the risk exposure threshold of the assigned book. The Manager will be responsible for understanding clients’ financial requirements and effectively resolving complex collection obstacles to maintain healthy financial operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Review debtor reports to facilitate communication with clients regarding past due and forthcoming installments.
• Lead weekly debtor meetings with the collection team to ensure collection targets are consistently met.
• Follow up on warnings issued to clients and ensure the successful collection of outstanding amounts.
• Liaise with the credit control department to provide accurate monthly collection forecasts.

Team Leadership and Development

• Manage and lead the collection and chaser teams, ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
• Ensure that set objectives are followed, measured, and reviewed semi-annually.
• Support headcount phasing in accordance with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
• Conduct interviews and ensure that all hiring aligns with Bupa Arabia's values and talent requirements.
• Provide necessary coaching and mentoring to ensure the team performs according to set objectives and targets.
• Deliver ongoing training and coaching for new joiners to integrate them effectively into the team.
• Ensure the team consistently achieves their assigned collection targets.

Operational Compliance and Digitalization

• Ensure the collection team accurately updates all activities in CollectSmart with correct feedback, adhering to established policies and procedures.
• Promote the digitalization of projects and increased automation to replace manual processes and enhance overall efficiency.
• Ensure full compliance with the credit control policy and internal guidelines.
• Adhere to Bupa Values, policies, and procedures in all operational aspects.
• Abide by the agreed-upon rules of engagement with brokers and clients.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Manager - Collection & Recovery position are expected to have 2-5 years of relevant experience in collection and recovery management. This experience should demonstrate a proven ability to lead teams, manage financial risk, and ensure operational compliance within a professional setting.
