Merchandising Team Leader

About the Role

Arla Foods is seeking a Merchandising Team Leader to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and involves leading and developing a team of merchandisers to ensure optimal product display and execution in stores.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, motivate, inspire, and develop the merchandising team.
• Ensure the application of the FIFO concept on-shelf and that products are displayed according to the Planogram.
• Manage business tools including merchandising follow-ups, company policies, visiting schedules, delivery and execution planning, and the merchandiser’s manual.
• Conduct initial evaluations by driving with merchandisers.
• Manage personal merchandising routes and support merchandisers in creating creative displays and in-store activities.
• Provide on-the-job training and motivation to merchandisers.
• Oversee merchandiser payroll and vacation follow-ups.
• Drive Point of Sale Material (POSM) usage and communication.
• Ensure allocated space per contract is adhered to, and develop and maintain shelf share, display share, and customer relationships.
• Drive promotional events and merchandising activities, such as festivals and in-store promotions.
• Regularly review and optimize merchandiser routes while ensuring excellent in-store execution as per Perfect Store standards.
• Manage, coach, and train a multicultural team of merchandisers across various depots within a specific area.
• Act as a liaison between the marketing, sales, and logistics departments.
• Track and communicate trade reports with the sales team.
• Drive other sales and merchandising-related tasks as required.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in merchandising leadership or a similar field.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involving leadership of a diverse team of merchandisers operating across various locations.
