The Role of Power BI Specialist

2P Perfect Presentation is seeking a Power BI Specialist to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves designing, developing, and managing interactive dashboards, executive reports, and business intelligence solutions. The specialist will support municipal departments and leadership teams by translating complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and executive reports.
• Collaborate with municipal stakeholders and department heads to gather reporting and data requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable BI solutions.
• Connect Power BI to multiple data sources, including SQL Server, Oracle, enterprise systems, Excel files, cloud platforms, and APIs.
• Utilize Power Query to extract, transform, clean, and load data.
• Build and optimize data models using advanced DAX measures and calculations.
• Ensure data accuracy, dashboard performance, scalability, and usability.
• Automate data refresh schedules and monitor report performance.
• Troubleshoot data integration, visualization, and performance issues.
• Implement data governance, access controls, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Ensure sensitive municipal data complies with public sector and regulatory requirements.
• Document BI solutions, technical processes, data flows, and reporting standards.
• Provide training and ongoing support to end users and municipal staff.
• Promote effective adoption of Power BI and support a data-driven organizational culture.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Power BI development, data modeling, and business intelligence reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, and DAX.
• Strong experience connecting to relational databases, enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and flat files.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and visualization best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to present technical data concepts clearly to non-technical leadership.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with government entities, public sector organizations, or municipal departments.
• Familiarity with Azure data services such as Azure Synapse and Azure SQL.
• Experience with enterprise data integration tools.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification or related Microsoft certifications are highly preferred.
