The Role of Procurement Officer

Saint-Gobain GCC is seeking a Procurement Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience. The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing local purchases and executing sourcing activities to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services, contributing to cost control and optimal resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all local purchases specifically for Saudi Serpo Co.
• Execute purchasing and sourcing activities to ensure the timely delivery of required goods and services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent service quality.
• Support tendering processes and assist with contract management.
• Oversee procurement administration, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Handle banking transactions, letters of credit (L/C), document acceptance, and shipping documentation in accordance with international trade terms.

Role Objectives

• Ensure uninterrupted operations through the timely procurement of quality goods and services.
• Achieve cost efficiency and value for money through effective sourcing and negotiation strategies.
• Maintain transparency, accountability, and compliance across all procurement activities.
• Contribute to cost control and the optimal utilization of resources.
• Provide accurate and up-to-date procurement records for management review and audit purposes.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant procurement role.
