Role Overview

Laverne Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves managing procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while upholding quality standards. The specialist will focus on supplier coordination, purchase order management, price negotiations, and maintaining strong vendor relationships to support efficient business operations.

Core Responsibilities

  • Prepare, issue, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
  • Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, deliveries, lead times, and order status.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and commercial agreements to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify potential new suppliers.
  • Compare supplier quotations and evaluate offers based on pricing, quality, delivery, and commercial terms.
  • Monitor purchase order progress and ensure deliveries align with agreed schedules.
  • Communicate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchasing documentation.
  • Prepare procurement reports and monitor purchasing activities to support management decisions.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, report preparation, and tracking procurement performance.
  • Process procurement transactions and maintain purchasing records within Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP system.
  • Resolve supplier issues related to deliveries, pricing discrepancies, and purchase order execution.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support business needs and operational continuity.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in Procurement or Purchasing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.

  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage professional email correspondence.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, manufacturing, FMCG, or distribution industries.
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, purchasing documentation, and supplier management best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement activities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a proactive approach to managing procurement functions within a dynamic business setting.
