About Bechtel and the King Salman International Airport Project

Bechtel Corporation, with over 80 years of experience in complex airport projects globally, is providing project management consultancy services for the development of the King Salman International Airport in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This state-of-the-art airport is designed to accommodate up to 120 million travelers by 2030 and 185 million by 2050, alongside processing million tons of cargo annually by 2050. Bechtel's involvement includes PMC services for three new terminals: Terminal 6, the Iconic Terminal, and the Private Aviation Terminal.

The Role of Reporting Manager

The Reporting Manager will be a key member of the project team, reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager. This full-time role in Riyadh requires a comprehensive understanding of cost and schedule disciplines. The primary responsibility involves the development, coordination, and maintenance of project-level dashboards and reporting tools across the Master Planning, Engineering, and Construction phases. The manager will also oversee cost estimating, analysis, control activities, and schedule integration needs, including identifying restraints, cost trends, and reviewing invoices for correct revenue collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior management in Project Controls activities and contribute input for the weekly project action items list.
• Maintain project databases and prepare required reports, providing additional supervision for Project Controls tasks.
• Coordinate routine cost engineering, planning, and scheduling needs for projects.
• Identify project restraints, evaluate their impact on the overall project schedule, and coordinate with all departments for schedule alignment.
• Identify schedule considerations and challenges arising from inter-discipline or functional interfaces.
• Monitor and report on the project’s critical path and overall schedule performance, analyzing options for schedule improvements.
• Coordinate cost recording, monitoring, and reporting practices to ensure compliance with established standards.
• Support the preparation of specific project budgets following established procedures and participate in project risk reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent).
• 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training for both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Statistical knowledge in sampling, distributions, probability, and hypothesis testing for metrics.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Earned Value principles for progress measurement and reporting.
• Advanced knowledge of reporting tools and analytics, especially Power BI and MS Excel.
• Proficiency with PC operating systems and multiple basic software applications.
• Proficiency with discipline-specific software used at Bechtel, including EcoSys, Primavera, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes.
• Understanding of controller instructions impacting Project Controls, such as Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Determination Data.
