Mohammad Al Habib Real Estate Investment Company, established in 1972, is a family-owned and privately-held firm specializing in real estate investments, developments, master plans, and the design of commercial and residential communities. This full-time position is for their subsidiary, Asalah Residence Company, focusing on a landmark high-rise development in Riyadh and Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The Role of Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function for a significant high-rise construction project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a proactive safety culture while ensuring full compliance with Saudi regulations, project requirements, and international HSE standards. This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in HSE management, particularly on major high-rise construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the project Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) plan in line with Saudi regulations and international best practice.
• Lead the site safety team and ensure adequate safety supervision across all work areas.
• Conduct site safety audits and risk assessments, enforcing corrective actions for non-compliance.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare reports, and implement preventive measures.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs to site personnel and subcontractors.
• Liaise with Civil Defense and relevant Riyadh authorities on safety compliance and permits.
• Monitor and report HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as Lost Time Incidents (LTI), near misses, and man-hours to project management.
• Ensure emergency preparedness and response plans are in place and tested for the site.

Qualifications and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• OSHA Certification or an equivalent HSE qualification is required.
• NEBOSH International Diploma or NEBOSH Construction Certificate is highly preferred.
• Professional HSE certifications (IOSH, CSP, Grad IOSH, or equivalent) are considered an advantage.
• Membership in a recognized HSE professional organization is preferred.

Required Experience and Knowledge

• Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment management.
• Proven experience on high-rise tower construction projects.
• Experience may be gained anywhere within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Previous experience with major developers or Tier-1 contractors is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations, Civil Defense requirements, and international safety standards.
