About the Role

Nathan & Nathan is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is suitable for professionals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to core accounting functions and financial compliance.

Role Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing financial records and ensuring accurate reporting. This position involves preparing detailed financial analyses, interacting with internal and external stakeholders, and serving as a technical resource for junior team members within the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and document a high volume of journal entries accurately for month-end close and accounting transactions, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation.
• Perform and potentially supervise accounting sub-functions and the preparation of reports detailing financial results.
• Coordinate schedules, activities, and reports with other departments.
• Establish and maintain operating procedures in line with existing internal controls and company policies.
• Maintain, reconcile, and resolve Profit & Loss and balance sheet ledger accounts.
• Manage reporting requirements for statutory and corporate compliance, including VAT/WHT and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare analyses and schedules for local management, as well as internal and external auditors, serving as a point of contact for inquiries.
• Interact with peers across various functions to gather information for analyses and disseminate accounting information.
• Own accounting processes supporting balance sheet accruals, provisions, allocations, reclassifications, and other accounting transactions.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma.
• 0-1 years of relevant accounting experience.

Professional Skills and Interactions

• Ability to discuss and defend work and analyses effectively.
• Proficiency in preparing analyses and schedules, addressing questions, and applying knowledge to resolve routine problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills for frequent interaction with peers, outside customers, external auditors, and functional group members at various management levels.
• Capacity to serve as a technical resource and potentially train more junior employees on accounting software and tools.
• Ability to gain cooperation from others and provide technical information concerning specific projects.
