Afaq - Warehouse Branch is seeking a Senior Category Manager for Amazon Now. Amazon Now is Amazon's quick commerce service in Saudi Arabia, providing everyday essentials with 15-minute delivery from dark stores across the region. This full-time role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is critical as Amazon Now scales towards market leadership in the quick commerce sector.

Role Overview

The Senior Category Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end performance of one or more product categories within Amazon Now SA. This includes managing selection, vendor relationships, availability, pricing, and overall commercial outcomes. The position involves working at the intersection of retail, operations, and customer experience, with significant visibility and impact on business trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

• Own category P&L, including Gross Merchandise Sales (GMS), margin, selection breadth, and availability metrics.
• Drive selection expansion by identifying entitlement gaps, onboarding new brands and vendors, and prioritizing assortment for 15-minute shopping occasions.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate terms, ensure service levels and fill rates, and resolve supply constraints.
• Collaborate with Operations, Inbound, and Replenishment teams to translate demand signals into in-stock execution.
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify share-of-shelf gaps and category white space.
• Lead commercial moments such as Back to School, National Day, and Ramadan with appropriate selection, inventory depth, and promotional plans.
• Work cross-functionally with Core Retail, RVR, and OHL to unlock listings and resolve systemic blockers.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, or marketing.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant strategic sourcing and category management experience in indirect categories such as professional services, support or maintenance spend, supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management.
• 5+ years of P&L management and pricing experience.
• 5+ years of negotiations and vendor management experience.
• Demonstrated strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC markets is preferred.
• E-commerce or FMCG experience is strongly preferred.
• Quick commerce experience is preferred.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time position. The successful candidate will join Amazon Now SA during a period of significant growth, contributing to the expansion of coverage and selection, and working towards achieving market share leadership by 2029.
