About the Role

Afaq - Warehouse Branch is seeking a Senior Category Manager, Amazon Now, to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to the quick commerce offering in Saudi Arabia, focusing on delivering everyday essentials within 15 minutes from dark stores. The position requires 5-10 years of experience and involves significant impact at the intersection of retail, operations, and customer experience.

Role Context

The Senior Category Manager will own the end-to-end performance of one or more product categories within Anow SA. This includes managing selection, vendor relationships, availability, pricing, and commercial outcomes. The role is critical during a period of significant growth, as Anow SA aims to expand coverage and selection to 12,000 dark store ASINs and achieve market share leadership by 2029. The individual joining will directly contribute to shaping this trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

• Own category P&L, including GMS, margin, selection breadth, and availability metrics.
• Drive selection expansion by identifying entitlement gaps, onboarding new brands and vendors, and prioritizing assortment for 15-minute shopping occasions.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate terms, ensure service levels and fill rates, and resolve supply constraints.
• Partner with Operations, Inbound, and Replenishment teams to translate demand signals into in-stock execution.
• Conduct competitive analysis (*, Ninja, Keeta, Noon, Hungerstation) to identify share-of-shelf gaps and category white space.
• Lead commercial moments such as Back to School, National Day, and Ramadan with appropriate selection, inventory depth, and promotional plans.
• Work cross-functionally with Core Retail, RVR, and OHL to unlock listings and resolve systemic blockers.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrated track record of driving selection growth and improving availability metrics at scale.
• Strong vendor negotiation skills and comfort with data-driven decision making.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and operate effectively in a fast-paced, startup-like environment within a larger company.
• Proven analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Experience within the Saudi Market.
• Experience in quick commerce.
