About the Role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time role involves managing complex contract portfolios for significant infrastructure developments, ensuring financial viability, compliance, and project timelines are met within a multidisciplinary "Delivery Partner" team.

Role Context and Impact

The Senior Contracts Manager will serve as a critical link between project delivery and financial performance. The role operates within complex Design-Build environments, focusing on high-value contract portfolios that contribute to the Kingdom's future infrastructure. This position requires over 10 years of experience in contract management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of contract management, including administering complex contracts (FIDIC, NEC, or bespoke) and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and KSA law.
  • Identify contractual and financial risks early in the project lifecycle and develop strategies to protect Parsons' and the Client's interests.
  • Lead the assessment, negotiation, and resolution of significant variations, change orders, and potential disputes.
  • Mentor and lead a team of Contract Managers, fostering professional integrity and technical excellence.
  • Provide strategic direction for contract management activities across the portfolio to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Develop and implement commercial and contract management strategies to meet project objectives, deliver outputs timely, and maximize value.
  • Assist in evaluating Change Requests, including developing and managing change management documentation through to finalizing Engineer's Instructions (EIs) and Variation Orders (VOs).
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, managing claims, variations, and disputes.
  • Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in the development and management of project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Prepare detailed reports, forecasts, and cost analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure activities align with project requirements and organizational policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop contingency plans for potential financial and contractual challenges.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and excellence within the team.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants, on commercial matters.
  • Represent the project in commercial discussions and negotiations with stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, within a multidisciplinary team focused on infrastructure development projects.
