The Role of Senior Electrical Engineer (Design Review)

KEO International Consultants is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team in Riyadh, KSA. This full-time position involves providing independent technical review of electrical design submissions. The role ensures compliance with codes, technical adequacy, constructability, and multidisciplinary coordination for various electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Review contractor electrical design submissions across Pre-Concept, Concept, Schematic, Detailed Design, and IFC stages.
• Review, revise, and approve load schedules, single-line diagrams, short-circuit calculations, voltage drop calculations, lighting calculations, and low-current system architectures.
• Conduct Peer Reviews for electrical designs prepared by Client-appointed designers when requested by the Client.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Verify compliance with Saudi Electrical Code (SBC 401/801), SEC standards, SASO, NFPA, and local authority regulations.
• Confirm that electrical rooms, substation spaces, cable tray routes, and panel locations satisfy spatial and maintenance requirements.
• Evaluate electrical system constructability, safety, and energy efficiency (lighting power density), and recommend improvements.
