About the Role

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior MEP Manager to lead and oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities for major infrastructure projects in Riyadh. This full-time role operates within WSP's PMCM team and is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of MEP systems in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, review, and execution of all MEP works throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee MEP equipment procurement, expediting, delivery tracking, and logistics coordination to ensure timely material availability.
  • Manage contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of MEP systems and infrastructure.
  • Review and approve MEP designs, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical proposals.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
  • Oversee the installation, testing, commissioning, and operational handover of all MEP systems.
  • Coordinate interfaces between MEP disciplines and civil, structural, utility, and infrastructure works.
  • Identify project risks, technical challenges, and construction issues, implementing mitigation and corrective actions as required.
  • Ensure effective management of project schedules, progress reporting, inspections, and quality assurance processes.
  • Support client and stakeholder coordination, providing technical guidance and leadership during project delivery.
  • Manage defect resolution, snagging activities, and final handover documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in MEP management, specifically within major infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading MEP design coordination, construction supervision, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, consultants, and various project stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong understanding of project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory obligations related to MEP systems.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and involves working on major infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be an integral part of WSP's PMCM team, contributing to significant developments in the region.
