Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to deliver complex projects globally. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager (MEP) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to one of the largest programmes in the region, a significant mixed-use development encompassing sports, entertainment, arts facilities, and comprehensive infrastructure.

Role Overview

The Senior Project Manager (MEP) will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) works. This delivery-focused position ensures the successful execution of contractor activities, adherence to programme milestones, quality standards, commercial objectives, and operational readiness. The role serves as the primary interface, coordinating effectively with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the delivery of all MEP works through construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Oversee contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual, programme, safety, and quality requirements.
• Monitor delivery progress and proactively manage risks, constraints, and critical path activities.
• Drive programme recovery and mitigation strategies as required.
• Coordinate with construction, commercial, project controls, design, and stakeholder teams for integrated delivery.
• Review contractor schedules, progress reports, and recovery plans.
• Manage site-based delivery activities and ensure effective coordination across multiple work fronts.
• Chair progress meetings, technical workshops, and package review meetings.
• Ensure testing, commissioning, and handover activities are planned and executed according to project requirements.
• Monitor and manage project risks, opportunities, and change control processes.
• Support commercial teams with the review of claims, variations, and contractual matters.
• Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with relevant codes, standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular project reporting to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Promote the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental performance.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience delivering complex building or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrable experience managing large-scale MEP packages through construction and delivery phases.
• Experience managing main contractors, specialist subcontractors, and multidisciplinary consultant teams.
• Experience within a PMC, client-side, Delivery Partner, or programme management environment is preferred.

Skills and Professional Accreditations

• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Professional accreditation such as PMP, MCIOB, CEng, or PE, or an equivalent, is desirable.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must meet the necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Relevant work experience on high-valued projects or programmes for a project management consultancy business is required for immigration and client approval processes.
