Senior Project Manager (Urban Realm)

About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Urban Realm) to lead large-scale urban realm and public space projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality public realm environments, including streetscapes, plazas, parks, waterfronts, pedestrian networks, civic spaces, and mixed-use urban developments. The Senior Project Manager will ensure projects align with client objectives, budget, schedule, sustainability goals, and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of urban realm projects from concept design through construction, handover, and closeout.
• Develop and implement project execution plans, delivery strategies, and governance frameworks.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams, including urban designers, landscape architects, civil engineers, utilities engineers, transportation specialists, and contractors.
• Oversee design development and coordination across multiple disciplines, ensuring alignment with master plans, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives.
• Monitor construction progress and contractor performance, leading project controls activities such as schedule management, cost control, forecasting, and reporting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, building relationships with government authorities, utility agencies, developers, and operators.
• Manage project budgets, change control, claims, and contractual obligations, while identifying and mitigating project risks.
• Promote sustainable and resilient urban development principles, ensuring the incorporation of environmental, social, and ESG objectives into project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, specifically within urban realm and public space projects.
• Demonstrated experience in leading the planning, design coordination, procurement, and delivery of large-scale urban developments.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders effectively.
• Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, design integration, and construction delivery.
• Experience with sustainability goals and international best practices in urban development.
