Senior Simulator Software Engineer (C/C++) EN

About the Role

CAE is seeking a Senior Simulator Software Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supporting flight training technology at Riyadh Air’s new training centre. The role is highly technical and hands-on, focusing on software configuration control, issue resolution, system improvements, and simulator performance and certification activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for complex software, hardware, and performance-QTG issues related to Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices.
• Provide technical support and on-the-job training to fellow engineers and technicians, including short-term dispatches for AOG situations.
• Manage software configuration control across all training devices.
• Debug, identify, and actively participate in resolving complex software, hardware, and performance-QTG issues.
• Develop, implement, test, integrate, and present fixes (local and/or from CAE-MTL) on all simulators.
• Monitor simulator issues and action/update those assigned to specialists.
• Participate in project reviews and review system design and architecture to ensure project and customer requirements are met.
• Support the CAE-MTL team during installation, focusing on software integration, performance-QTG, and hardware requirements.
• Engage in the acceptance process and review/acceptance of the initial Master QTG.
• Act as the main point of contact for relevant authorities regarding recurrent evaluations, post-evaluation status reports, and general authority communications.
• Participate in regular technical meetings, NAA evaluation debrief meetings, and SLA review meetings with CAE management and/or customers.
• Collaborate closely with customers, engineers, and authorities, and coordinate with CAE Customer Service for business-critical issues.
• Support Service Level Agreements within the Middle East Region, with potential for international travel.
• Comply with local and global CAE Environmental Health & Safety standards, instructions, and safe working procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.
