About the Role

iHorizons is seeking a Senior Software Sales professional to join its team. This full-time role is based in Qatar and requires total relocation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of iHorizons' diverse range of products and services to both new and existing customers across various sectors, managing the entire sales life cycle from lead generation to deal closure. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Sales Life Cycle Management

The Senior Software Sales professional will own the complete sales process, focusing on achieving assigned revenue targets and expanding the customer base. Key responsibilities include:

  • Generating new leads through professional networks, cold calling, and other outreach methods to identify decision-makers.
  • Acting as a trusted technology advisor to clients, understanding their business and technology needs to qualify opportunities.
  • Collaborating with clients to develop solutions, identify appropriate technologies, and position iHorizons as a prime contender.
  • Managing the bidding process in conjunction with the bidding team, ensuring the accuracy and quality of proposals and bid packages.
  • Independently handling negotiations and deal closures for small to mid-sized opportunities, and supporting the Sales Manager for larger deals.
  • Providing market, account, competitor, and bid intelligence to senior management throughout the sales cycle.

Revenue Generation and Account Growth

A core objective of this role is to meet or exceed revenue targets while ensuring acceptable gross margins. This involves acquiring new customer logos and maximizing business opportunities within existing accounts through strategic upselling and cross-selling initiatives.

  • Developing comprehensive account plans to identify customer business aspects, requirements, and opportunities.
  • Identifying and developing new leads from existing customer accounts.
  • Promoting iHorizons' full range of services and products as they become available.
  • Building trust and strengthening relationships by informing customers about emerging technologies and their business benefits.
  • Preparing briefings on the business, technical, and financial advantages of technology, and collaborating with customers on customized solutions.

Customer Relationship and Project Oversight

The Senior Software Sales professional serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring continuous satisfaction and engagement throughout the project lifecycle and beyond.

  • Conducting continuous market analysis and research on account dynamics, staying informed of client and market developments.
  • Providing client-specific support during bidding, project implementation, and recurring service/after-sales phases.
  • Collaborating with project teams from kickoff to final sign-off, monitoring customer satisfaction, and taking proactive measures to maintain it.
  • Driving account management to expand iHorizons' footprint within client organizations.
  • Regularly visiting major customers to strengthen relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with senior business, financial, and technical decision-makers within customer companies.

Reporting and Administration

Effective administration and reporting are crucial for this role, ensuring accurate record-keeping and transparent communication with management.

  • Utilizing iHorizons' CRM system to log and update all sales activities and generate required reports.
  • Providing ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by the Sales Manager.
  • Supporting the Sales Operations team in maintaining and updating customer files, including contracts, proposals, and invoices.
  • Assisting with contract renewals and facilitating the retention of existing customers.
  • Following up on invoices and managing payment collections.
  • Maintaining a full understanding of all current and past customer contracts, services, and cost structures.

Qualifications

Candidates for the Senior Software Sales position should possess a strong background in sales and technology, demonstrated by:

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in software sales or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and achieve revenue targets.
  • Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.
  • Willingness to relocate to Qatar for this full-time position.
