Senior Structural Engineer

About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves supervising the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems. The role is critical for ensuring structural integrity, quality, and compliance with international standards throughout the construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations, encompassing platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.
• Ensure all structural works adhere to approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (IS, IRC, Eurocode, etc.).
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues encountered on-site.
• Monitor construction progress, maintain quality control, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on structural works, including identifying non-conformities and proposing corrective actions.
• Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals specifically related to steel structures.
• Liaise with design teams to address site-related design modifications or clarifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, approvals, and quality records.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in building projects.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, bolting, and erection techniques.
• Familiarity with structural drawings, connection detailing, and construction sequencing.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of BIM tools is considered an advantage.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
