The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) is a prominent government entity operating in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in a full-time capacity.

The Role: Systems and Database Operations Manager

As the Systems and Database Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management and operation of ZATCA's IT systems and databases. This pivotal role ensures the delivery of IT services aligns with business operational requirements, adhering to established best practices and standards.

Key Operational Responsibilities

• Provide support for daily ZATCA systems and database activities, ensuring alignment with working plans and assisting in the resolution of related issues.
• Oversee periodical health checks for ZATCA systems and databases to ensure optimal tuning and performance.
• Supervise data backup processes and archiving systems, ensuring data integrity and security to minimize risks of potential data losses.
• Monitor the security of enterprise information systems, including websites and applications, and implement Information Security Solutions to enhance system protection.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and upgrades of software, hardware, operating systems, and processes in accordance with specified requirements.
• Manage troubleshooting and technical support activities to ensure proper and timely response to system and database issues and outages.
• Supervise change requests related to IT systems and databases, providing thorough evaluation of their impact on IT strategy and enterprise architecture to minimize implementation risks.
• Review and analyze systems and database operations performance reports, offering insights and recommending actionable improvements.

Strategic Oversight and Team Leadership

• Implement and ensure the achievement of ZATCA's strategy, aspirations, and specific Systems and Database Operations objectives.
• Contribute input for identifying necessary Systems and Database Operations projects to meet future demands and support ZATCA’s overall strategic plans.
• Participate in the annual budgeting cycle for Systems and Database Operations, managing resources efficiently within budget, and reporting accurately on progress and challenges.
• Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent for the team.
• Guide, mentor, and support direct reports to ensure duties are executed according to established policies and processes, including providing on-the-job training and feedback.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field is required.
• A Master’s degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or an equivalent is preferred.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in systems and database operations is required.
• At least 2 years of this experience should be at a managerial level, which is preferred.
