About the Role

Saudi Airlines Catering Company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to join its full-time catering operations in Riyadh. This role is crucial for monitoring and ensuring the efficient functioning of assigned areas within the company's dynamic catering environment.

Role Overview and Scope

The Team Leader is responsible for maintaining overall control of all section functions and coordinating effectively with various departments. This position ensures smooth operations and strict adherence to established standards, playing a vital part in upholding operational excellence and service quality within the catering division.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure the efficient function and overall control of all activities within the assigned section.
• Take immediate action in response to operational changes such as aircraft changes or additional flights.
• Manage the withdrawal of materials from main stores and other sources, ensuring all required resources are available for smooth operation.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for timely maintenance of handling equipment and working facilities.
• Assist Supervisors and Assistant Managers in preparing peak planning for the section's overall functions.
• Coordinate with other sections and departments to obtain necessary information and support for seamless operations.
• Maintain strict discipline within the section and conduct spot checks on staff turnout, reporting findings to the concerned Supervisor.
• Prepare and submit daily activity reports, statistics, and other reports as directed by the Supervisor.
• Ensure daily activities are followed up through logbooks and facilitate proper briefing and handover to the next Shift Supervisor.
• Assist Senior Supervisors in preparing and ensuring strict adherence to training programs, rosters, and vacation plans.
• Supervise all extra jobs assigned via IOCs/Emails and maintain proper files for various instructions received.
• Ensure timely completion and submission of TAS and supervise monthly inventory for the Accounts Department.
• Oversee the assembly and loading of flights according to DBL and within specified deadlines.
• Coordinate with Handling Supervisors to ensure all flights are checked on time in the Assembly area.
• Follow the operation plan and report any deviations to the Supervisor; assume Transport Supervisor duties when required.
• Coordinate between Service Representatives checking flights and all preparation sections to ensure on-time assembly and adherence to standards.
• Ensure continuous availability of dry ice and dry stores, coordinating with Main Stores and Saudia Stores for procurement.
• Coordinate with Sky Sales to ensure the availability of Sky Sales carts for SV flights.
• Ensure up-to-date information regarding loading/packing plans and menu descriptions is available in Assembly for ready reference.
• Ensure Security Checklists are duly filled by staff checking flights and maintain proper records.
• Action up-catering orders on priority and investigate accident causes, forwarding proper reports to the Supervisor.
• Liaise with Maintenance/Cleaning Sections on a shift basis for services as required and ensure the serviceability of equipment/items provided on flights.
• Brief all reporting staff on safety regulations and ensure close coordination with Transport, Dispatch, Handling, Tray Setting, Beverage, Kit, Dishwashing, Equipment, and Production for smooth section functioning.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned, in accordance with the regulations of the Saudi Labor Law.
• Adhere to Cybersecurity policies and procedures, including proper handling of classified data, respecting intellectual property rights, and complying with security requirements for user devices, internet, software, systems, and email.
• Comply with the acceptable use policy, utilize company information and technical assets solely for business purposes, and obtain necessary permits for visitors in sensitive company sites.
• Report Cybersecurity incidents promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a similar position within catering operations preparation.
• High School, Secondary, Vocational School, or College Graduate.
