About the Opportunity

Placemaker is seeking a Trade Marketing Specialist on behalf of a leading FMCG business in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is based in Riyadh and focuses on overseeing commercial activities within the market.

Role Purpose

The Trade Marketing Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day trade and commercial execution, ensuring product availability, visibility, and performance across various sales channels. The role requires a strong commercial focus to drive market presence and resolve operational challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily trade and commercial execution to ensure products are available, visible, and performing across multiple sales channels.
Collaborate closely with distributor sales teams to drive execution, address issues, and ensure follow-through on agreed actions.
Conduct regular market visits to identify gaps in product availability, cold stock, visibility, pricing, and promotional activities.
Support the implementation of trade marketing campaigns, activations, merchandising, and in-store initiatives.
Monitor sales, distribution, and market performance, utilizing data and competitor insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key stakeholders, taking full ownership of issues from identification to resolution.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial mindset and a relentless follow-up mentality. This role requires confidence in building effective relationships, solving problems proactively, and taking full ownership of market outcomes.

Required Experience and Location

Applicants should have 2-5 years of relevant experience in trade marketing or commercial roles, preferably within the FMCG sector. This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
