Aljomaih Energy and Water Company is seeking a dedicated Store Keeper to join its team in Ash Shimasiyah, Al Qasim, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for managing the flow and storage of essential materials, equipment, and spare parts to support operational continuity.

Role Overview

The Store Keeper will be responsible for comprehensive inventory management, overseeing receiving and inspection processes, and ensuring efficient storage and order processing. This role involves maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring safety compliance, and collaborating with various teams to optimize storekeeping and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory items, ensuring precise stock levels within the inventory management system.
• Conduct regular stock counts and audits to verify inventory accuracy and identify any discrepancies or shortages.
• Oversee the receiving of materials, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring proper documentation, quality inspection, and appropriate storage.
• Verify that received items align with purchase orders in terms of quantity and specifications.
• Organize storage areas to optimize space utilization, ensuring materials are easily accessible and safely stored.
• Implement systematic inventory labeling and categorization for efficient item retrieval.
• Prepare requisitions for necessary items based on inventory levels and operational demands, coordinating with the Supply Chain Officer for approval.
• Process and monitor purchase orders for spare parts and materials, ensuring timely delivery to support maintenance and operational requirements.
• Monitor stock levels regularly and recommend reordering to prevent shortages that could disrupt operations.
• Manage surplus and obsolete inventory, coordinating with relevant departments for resolution.
• Maintain accurate and current records of inventory movements, receipts, and shipments in the inventory management system.
• Prepare reports on inventory levels, stock valuations, and transaction histories for review by the Supply Chain Officer.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a storekeeping or warehouse management role.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely, and to perform physical tasks within a warehouse environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

Work Environment and Collaboration

This role requires adherence to safety protocols and organizational policies concerning material handling, storage, and waste management. The Store Keeper will maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Effective collaboration is essential, working closely with maintenance, operations, and procurement teams to align inventory management with operational needs. Communication with suppliers to address delivery, quality, or specification issues is also a key aspect of this position.

Commitment to Continuous Improvement

The Store Keeper is expected to identify opportunities for enhancing inventory management processes and warehouse operations, providing recommendations to the Supply Chain Officer. Participation in training and development programs to advance skills related to inventory management and storekeeping best practices is encouraged.
