MOOD LAB is seeking a dedicated Cost Accountant to analyze production costs and ensure the efficiency of production methods.
Responsibilities:
- Examine costs of production to determine the most efficient methods.
- Ensure accurate classification of expenses under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Research material costs for accuracy in the company’s accounting system.
- Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard prices to actual costs.
- Participate in physical inventory counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Monitor accumulation of direct labour, overhead, and other expenses.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or commerce with a specialization in accountancy.
- 3+ years of experience in accountancy or equivalent roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills based on data analysis.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for discussing financial reports with stakeholders.
