The Role of Storekeeper

The Storekeeper is a full-time position based in Jeddah, responsible for the efficient management of hotel supplies and materials. This role involves overseeing the entire process from receiving goods to their final distribution, ensuring accuracy, proper storage, and inventory control for items purchased through the Purchasing Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and meticulously check goods against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Verify the quantity, quality, and condition of all incoming items.
• Maintain accurate inventory and stock records to ensure data integrity.
• Store goods properly, applying First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) principles.
• Issue items only against approved store requisitions from various departments.
• Monitor par and minimum stock levels, informing the Purchasing Department of reorder needs.
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate any discrepancies found.
• Coordinate effectively with the Purchasing, Receiving, and Cost Control departments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure storeroom environment.
