About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Registrar - Occupational Medicine to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role, requiring 2-5 years of experience, involves supporting and overseeing the delivery of occupational health services across Bupa Arabia, Bupa Care Connect, and its associated centers. The Registrar will focus on preventing work-related illness and injury, developing occupational health programs, and promoting employee well-being in diverse workplace environments.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Occupational Medicine Registrar is responsible for designing and standardizing assigned occupational health programs and their components. This position provides clinical supervision and oversight to healthcare providers within Corporate Health Centers (CHC) and contributes to clinical reporting and data analysis. The Registrar will assist in preparing medical and occupational health reports for clients, offering evidence-based recommendations to support continuous improvement in employee health, safety, and organizational well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify occupational health risks across various workplaces.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee strategies for preventing work-related illness and injuries.
  • Support health surveillance programs and exposure monitoring for high-risk employees.
  • Contribute to vaccination, screening, and preventative health initiatives aligned with occupational risks.
  • Design and standardize pre-employment, periodic, and fitness-for-duty medical assessments.
  • Provide medical supervision and oversight to CHC health providers, ensuring appropriate clinical care and adherence to practice standards.
  • Support orientation, training, and ongoing education for onsite clinic staff.
  • Ensure clinical services comply with MOH, CBAHI, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Participate in clinical audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in generating medical and occupational health reports for clients and analyze data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations to clients for improving employee health outcomes, safety, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with HR, operations, and client representatives, providing medical input to risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in occupational medicine.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify occupational health risks and develop preventive strategies.
  • Experience in clinical supervision and oversight of healthcare providers.
  • Proficiency in clinical reporting and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with clinical governance, quality, and compliance standards (MOH, CBAHI).

Professional Development

The Registrar will participate in occupational medicine education activities and case reviews, contributing to continuous professional growth and the enhancement of occupational health practices within the organization.
